SMPS: How has SMPS membership been of value to you and your career?
Being a SMPS member has opened me to new connections and has helped me grow my working relationships beyond my firm. Through
these new people I have gained a great knowledge of the in's and out's of this industry and that I have much more to learn. I think it's
also helped me come out of my shell because, let's face it, I am a very shy person regardless of how I present myself.

SMPS: How did you get started with your career?
Like pretty much everyone else in the AEC industry that slipped into Marketing, it happened by pure accident. It wasn't my intention of
going into construction, I thought at the time it would be a boring place to work, BOY was I wrong. After I got out of school, I ended up
taking a consulting position at a construction firm temporarily till I found something else but I soon ended up falling in love with the
pursuit of projects and everything else involved with my position there. I think I definitely judged the AEC industry by it's "cover" if you
will.

SMPS: Are you interested in seeking CPSM certification; and if so, how do you expect it to benefit you?
I am definitely interested in becoming CPSM certified. I believe that this will help take my career to the next level. I know I have a lot to
learn about the AEC and how to handle the different sections of Business Development and Marketing and becoming certified will help
me on that mission.

SMPS: What excites you about your work and the contribution you make?
I'm very competitive and I think the thing that excites me the most about my work is the wins. I could spend all day and night on a
proposal and the only thing that would make my day even better is finding out we won the project. It's definitely a thrill.

SMPS: What are you currently watching on Netflix?
Parks and Recreation for the 6th time.

SMPS: If you could visit anywhere in the world you have never been, where would you go?
Italy, I feel like I owe it to myself to explore and know where I came from.

SMPS: You're a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why?
Black, because I feel like even though black may not be appealing to anyone to pick, it is usually the color most people use to start
something, the outlines if you will. I feel like I'm a very structured person and that outlines represent structure.

SMPS: What was the best concert you've ever attended?
Dave Matthews, hands down.
